Increasing Stress Among Working People

Increasing stress Among Working People

Stress among working people is leading to them suffering 'burnout ' or a nervous breakdown. Statics show that more working people are suffering from stress related to their jobs. Many of them are forced to work too hard and this is taking a toll on their health. Experts opine that nowadays there is simply too much pressure put on employees these days, especially those in key roles. For instance, in the sales and production Department of firms, unrealistically high targets are set for workforce. Trying to achieve these targets, workmen reach a point beyond which they cannot cope and need to take time off. If this is not given, some may experience burnout and some may become mentally ill or suffer a nervous breakdown. In some cases, overwork leads to extreme fatigue and exhaustion and sometimes insomnia.when they reach home at the end of the workday, instead of resting of enjoying a leisure pursuit, they simply cannot switch off work worries.

It is time for us all to take this matter seriously and reconsider the ethos of modern working conditions. Working hard is important, but we must realise that productivity is less important than our health.
