Indian Classical Dance Reality Show Needed
Our nation has the tradition of a very rich culture. The whole world praises and admires our culture. But with the advent of modern times, we have started neglecting our traditions and their coherent values.
An example is classical dance and its position in India. Classical dance started in between 14th and 15th century in our country. But now it is confined to some specific locations only. Modern day India media including Tv never gives it its due importance. "There is no dearth of dancing shows on television but all these include so called, modern dances" which are a mixture of gymnastics and PT exercises and sometimes they cross the limits of decency. In the name of dancing shows, they are displaying vulgarity.
The producers of dance programmes must promote our original forms of classical dance and folk dances to attract attention of the entire world and prove once again that we are still culture supreme nation. Thus there is a need of reality shows displaying various of Indian classical dance.
