Ragging,An Evil

Ragging is mainly bulling a new student.Though it started from British era,is still present in our schools and colleges.It's original aim  was to create respect for teachers and to enforce  traditions, discipline.

In British era they created prefects in class to discipline students when teacher is not in class.But now a days senior students misuse their powers and authorities.Sometimes raging  cause severe injuries and in rare cases students even die and sometimes they commit suicide.To stop ragging teachers and mature seniors should do regular patrolling. They should also check the school hotels at non school hours.The issue of ragging need to be handled carefully by regular counselling of students and by parent guidance.
